This ‘Manchester’ themed episode was likely the first time people across the country had seen Joy Division playing live – particularly those too young to get to the gigs.
The band performed Transmission and She’s Lost Control and this really should have been the first of many spectacular TV clips of the band, but alas this is a typically rare video as there remains few high quality documents of Joy Division playing live.
